Customer Evaluations

I ordered this to go with a black granite composite sink through a kitchen remodel several months ago. The color was fantastic, but the material appears to be low cost plastic. Nevertheless, I gave it a attempt... only to find out that it would not hold an Insinkerator garbage disposal. This is unbelievable due to the fact this is by far the most widespread garbage disposal brand in use right now. There was no alternative but to ditch this item... I wound up using a stainless steel set from another manufacturer to compliment the stainless steel faucet that I was employing... it turned out to be just as good in look.

I bought this item thinking Blanco, is the best of the most beneficial and i required black, so whats the concern? If you've ever put in a garbage disposal, then you will promptly find out the issue. The heavy disposal's attach to the shaft of any "waste stopper" essentially by compression. You put the ring on it, lift up the disposal and turn to tighten. The issue with the plastic of THIS item, is when you tighten, the plastic shrinks in, which loosens the ring that holds the, once once more, heavy disposal. I'm a fairly handy guy, but when i had this challenge I called my friend who functions at a plumb shop, he brought a "Metal" waste stopper over and worked ideal. This was of course just after i tried dozen instances to get the plastic one particular to perform, then he attempted a dozen times, and we each failed. The metal worked the to begin with attempt. I am just saying, maybe i, or we did something wrong.....but i doubt it.
